Silence. Relief, calmness. Christoph did not dare shed the sigh of relief that he felt in every fiber of his being as he looked over at the black-furred creature asleep on his abdomen. He was in his favorite location in the mansion, on the old musty smelling (but only from the lack of proper care) couch; lying down, as he often did, and doing absolutely nothing. Well, he had been reading but refused to turn the page and possibly wake the monstrosity that was sleeping ever so innocently on him. Cats. Whoever decided to domesticate them were clearly out of their mind.

It was this reason that the giggles and fits from the outside sent a chill down his spine, why the icy feeling of dread clutched at his heart. He stared at the feline intently. Its ear twitched; flicked once towards the cause of the noise.

Oh please no, he silently begged to the heavens, as though such a place existed. But the giggling continued.

and the other ear twitched.

Oh just shut up. What do I have to do to make them shut up?

An eye opened.

Please No...

The creature gave off a quiet mew as it yawned, sat up and licked its paw, then flashed its blue eyes onto Christoph.

Shit.

With all the intensity of traffic collision Christoph leaped from the couch, sending the cat flying as he raced for the door. Anyone who knew Christoph's excessive lack of... well, energy, would be shocked at how fast the Devali coven leader moved as he threw the door open. The cat followed, pouncing and biting at the vampire's ankles as though he was a much loved chew toy. Christoph kicked the creature though the cat, thinking it a game, only attacked his bare feet once more.

"What the hell is going on here!" He yelled as loud as his angry mumbling would let him. What he found was unbelievable. It was disgusting. It was atrocious, it was something he could not forgive. Charlemagne vampires. On his lawn. On his lawn. Unforgivable! It was bad enough what with the ruckus they had been making earlier. He prodded the vampiress closest to him (Rose) with his barefoot, glowering down at them and the cat that found this a game as well and attacked the same foot, digging its claws into the vampire's pale skin.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't skewer the lot of you!" He demanded, his voice loud enough to, hopefully, shake the girls from unconsciousness if his foot-prodding had not already done so.

Christoph took a step back as the girl let out a shriek.

"I think I preferred the laughter," He muttered under his breath though was in awe that he could seem so frightening in the first place. His scowl, however, darkened as Maria tried to push him away. His lips pulled back into an angry sneer that seemed to contradict his very being.

"There's no need to be so noisy. Can you two just shut up? what's wrong with you? Are you the Charlemagne rejects or something?" His words were not those of a leader. Christoph was no politician, he spoke his mind, and at the moment his mind wanted to know how these two ended up on his lawn.

"Now you two better tell me why you're hear before I make you mow my grass every night for the rest of your sorry, spoiled, easy live, discipline-lacking lives," he said, harsh, even as his self-appointed torturer wrapped its furry self around his legs to calm him.

"Then let me rephrase that for you," Christoph stated, his German accent filtering more strongly into his voice as his tone changed to a darker sort of anger.

"You have no sense of self-discipline. If you had you would not have been laughing uncontrollably, you would not have wandered onto my god forsaken lawn, and you would not have laughed yourself silly to the point of unconsciousness. You're shear blatant stupidity and defiance astounds me! To think, this is how low that the Charlemagne have stooped, not even teaching their Children some decency and manners." He let his heavy glare focus on Maria, picking her out to be the younger of the two.

"You're lucky you haven't gotten yourself killed! wandering around so unknowingly as you have. You're lucky I don't want to waste my time properly punishing the both of you for you're intrusion onto Devali land." He uncrossed his arms, stepping towards them, ready to drag them right off his estate. Why couldn't they run away like normal people might when they were found doing something they shouldn't?

"They're right. They aren't guests. They are tresspassers, Lizzy," Christoph explained to Tokala's little pet. He didn't mind the girl. It made him sick that another human was brought into a life like theirs but Tokala could have done worse. Though he could have done better as well. Despite this he smiled kindly at Lizzie with sympothy bleeding into his eyes.

"On second thought. They're already here. They might as well come inside, its not as though it will reveal any big secret." Christoph motioned the two forward, stalking off to their front door, the porch light off, unwelcoming to guests. It turned on though as soon as Christoph passed through the door.

Boo looked torn. To bother these new guests or accompany Christoph inside? She rubbed against each of their legs, giving a friendly mew as she wrapped hersefl around Lizzy's leg before bounding after Christoph.
